Julieta presents at the inaugural UCLA SYNCS seminar series in March 2023
It was a pleasure sharing my work and DEI outreach efforts with the UCLA Neuroscience community during the SYNCS (Seminars by Young Neuroscientist Citizen Scholars) seminar series. Had a really enjoyable time meeting Faculty and trainees during my visit!

Poster presentation at the Society for Neuroscience Annual meeting in San Diego
Really enjoyed attending SfN! Julieta had the opportunity share her work as a poster in the Trainee Professional Development Award and the 'Social Cognition and Behavior: Mechanisms and Model' poster sessions. It was great meeting old friends and making new ones as well as learning about state-of-the-art research.

Pre-print on accessory olfactory bulb diversity and connectivity now available on BioRxiv
Pre-print titled 'Molecular diversity and connectivity of accessory olfactory system neurons', which includes contributions from my doctoral work in Dr. Joshua Corbin's lab, is now available online. Congratulations to first authors Nandu, Heidi and Sonia on this exciting work!

Julieta presented at the 'Emerging Leaders in Neuroscience' seminar series at Weill Cornell Medicine
Had a fantastic time sharing my work and meeting Faculty and trainees from the Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine! It was an honor to be the first speaker of the series presenting in person in a hybrid format.

Julieta receives the Society for Neuroscience Trainee Professional Development Award
It is an honor to be recognized by the Society for Neuroscience with the 2022 Trainee Professional Development Award to attend the annual meeting taking place this November and share her postdoctoral work. See you all in San Diego!

Julieta served as a panelist in the Neuroscience Institute Postdoc Orientation and Mixer
I really enjoyed sharing my experience as a postdoc at NYU Langone with postdocs joining the Institute! It was great to also learn about the work of incoming postdocs!

Postdoc Appreciation week is here! Julieta was one of the finalists for NYU Langone's Postdoc Slam
I had a great time sharing my postdoc work in a 3 minute presentation similar to the popular 3 minute thesis, during the annual NYU Langone Postdoc appreciation week. Thank you to everyone that came and supported!

Paper on female sexual behaviors published in Neuron!
Really excited to have been able to contribute as a co-author to this project led by Luping Yin from the lab understanding how a small subpopulation of cells in the VMHvll expressing CCKAR+ are controlling female sexual behaviors. Check out the full article [here]

Julieta attends the inaugural Hypothalamus Gordon Research Conference
Julieta was excited to share her work at the Hypothalamus GRC that took place in Ventura, CA on July 24-29th, 2022. She learned about outstanding research and got to connect with the hypothalamus neuroscience community.

Julieta presents at the Gordon Research Seminar and Conference in Optogenetics and receives the Excellence in Citizenship Award
Julieta had the honor of presenting her work as a talk at the Gordon Research Seminar (7/16) and then share her work as a poster at the Conference (7/17-22) that took place in Maine. She received the Excellence in Citizenship Award for all her efforts to make a diverse and inclusive neuroscience community. It was so great to reconnect with colleagues and meet new ones!

Julieta shares her work at the University of Chicago Biological Sciences Division 'Rising Stars' Symposium
Julieta presented her work at the virtual event spanning talks in neuroscience, human genetics, ecology and evolution. She enjoyed meeting other attendees at the virtual gather town session!

Julieta is selected as an Exceptional Postdoctoral Scholar at The Rockefeller University and presented her work at the annual workshop
It was a pleasure to meet The Rockefeller University Faculty and trainees as well as to receive one-on-one Faculty mentoring and attend workshops and panels on the academic job search and challenges in academia. She had a fantastic time on this two day event that took place on June 21st and 22nd.

Julieta is selected to present at the Carney BrainExPo Seminar Series at Brown University
Julieta visited Providence, Rhode Island to share her work at the Carney's Institute Brain Science External Postdoc Seminar Series at Brown University on April 25th, 2022. She had a fantastic time meeting Faculty and Trainees and discussing her work!
